The "How Lock Picking Works" article by Marshall Brain and Tom Harris gives a detailed description of how to correctly, and incorrectly pick a lock. They included very specific instructions and good diagrams and animations. However, for someone who isn't familiar with lock picking terms, such as "pins" and "shear line", this article could be a bit more difficult to understand. Nonetheless, if you even have an inkling as to what those words mean, you can learn lock picking, in theory.
I like how the article gives different reasons for knowing how to picks locks. People may know what lock picking is, but not necessarily why people use the skill. Such as for a job, because they are a locksmith or they own an apartment complex and have to open doors all the time. Or if they do it for the challenge to test their mind. Others do it illegally to break into houses and stores so they can rob it without leaving a trace.
Overall, the article was well constructed, professionally written, with diagrams and little to no side comments. It served its purpose, but if one was simply browsing random articles, this would not be the most eye catching of the lot.
